"Science III" began sea trial

China's most advanced marine scientific research ship "Science No. 3" left the dock of Wuchang Shipyard on July 8 and arrived in Shanghai on July 12 to enter the sea trial phase. Subsequently, the ship will sail all the way north to Qingdao, after completing the system test and commissioning, it will be delivered to the Chinese Academy of Sciences in August and put into use. According to reports, after the "Science 3" is put into use, it will engage in scientific experiments and investigations in marine geology, marine life, marine environment and marine meteorology in the Yellow Sea, Bohai Sea, East China Sea and South China Sea.

The Filtration Process

How does the Filter press equipment carry out the filtration process? The feeding pump injects the slurry into the filter press from the feeding head. The chambers created by the plates are filled up with the slurry, the cloth (specifically developed for each material) and the high pressure dry the cakes, faster and better. The clean water is discharged into drainage gutters, ready to be reused, and the cakes can now be disposed of easily.
