International brands including GM and Fiat will expand their production scale in China. Today, the share in the Chinese market is a key factor for major auto brands competing for world market leadership. Last year, Volkswagen exceeded GM for the first time to become the largest automaker in the Chinese market. GM was not to be outdone. It announced on Wednesday that it would invest in 4 new factories in China and increase its annual output to 5 million by 2015. This year launched 17 new models. Fiat also said it will launch a new Alfa model in the Chinese market.
