Construction of dredger in Wenchong Shipyard

The construction of the 16888-cubic-meter self-propelled suction dredger “Xinhaifeng” built by Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Co., Ltd. for China-Hong Kong Dredging Co., Ltd. was started on September 18. This is another large-scale suction dredger that was built after the domestic design and construction of the 13500-cubic-meter suction dredger “Xin Haihu”.

The “Xinhaifeng” has a total length of 160.9 meters, a width of 27 meters and a depth of 11.8 meters. Designed by CSSC Corporation in 2007, it is scheduled to be delivered on November 28, 2008. The ship has increased its main scale, cabin capacity and host power compared to the "New Sea Tiger", and its construction task will be even more arduous.

The relevant person in charge of the company said that the company will continue to carry forward the spirit of “dedication and cooperation, innovation and self-improvement”, carefully summarize, analyze and draw on the design and construction experience of the 13,500 m3 dredger, carefully organize the construction to ensure high according to plan. The quality completed the construction task of “Xinhaifeng”.

In recent years, the company has successfully built 3,800 cubic meters of dredgers, 4,200 cubic meters of dredgers and 13,500 cubic meters of dredgers for the Shanghai Waterway Bureau.
