The development of flexible HVDC technology presents the characteristics of high-voltage and large-capacity, diversified topology, multi-end networking, and diverse application scenarios. The technical problems faced include the lack of DC measurement accuracy, the need for soft-submarine cable technology breakthrough, and high-voltage DC circuit breakers. Lack of research experience, control and protection technologies for flexible DC power distribution systems have not yet been resolved, existing simulation methods are difficult to meet research needs, and research on flexible and straightforward urban power supply and distribution applications is less.
The “12th Five-Year” National 863 Program “Key Technology and Application of Flexible DC Power Transmission Devices” project team tackled high-accuracy DC high-precision measurement, high-voltage submarine cables, high-voltage DC circuit breakers, DC power distribution, and simulation technologies after three years of scientific and technological research. Technical problems such as power supply in cities. Developed all-fiber current sensor, ±320kV DC submarine cable, 110kV mechanical high-voltage direct current circuit breaker, 10kV hybrid DC circuit breaker, 15kV/200kW DC transformer, 20kV/20MW compact converter valve, and urban power grid protection and protection prototype for the first time in China. And other key equipment; Established a number of test platforms for high-voltage DC circuit breakers, DC power distribution system real-time simulation, among which all-fiber current sensors, DC submarine cables, and compact converter valves are used in UHV DC projects, flexible DC projects, and UPFC Implement the application multiple times.
The achievements achieved in this project provide the basis for research on the development of flexible HVDC transmission to high-voltage large-capacity, DC grid, diversified power utilization, and other areas, driving the development of flexible HVDC transmission technology equipment and promoting the construction of flexible HVDC transmission technology standards in China. , To lay a good foundation for improving the international competitiveness of China's flexible DC industry.
After discussion by the expert group, the project completed the research content and major assessment indicators stipulated in the project notice and agreed that the project passed the acceptance.
