Polyester fiber factory in Vietnam started operations in May

The Vietnam Petroleum, Petrochemical and Textile Fiber Joint Venture (PVTex) recently revealed that the construction of the Dinh Vu polyester fiber plant is near completion.
The plant may begin operations in May and will be handed over to investors in August 2011.
The project is located in the industrial zone of Dinh Vu in Haiphong City. It is funded by the Vietnam Petroleum & Petrochemical and Textile Fiber Joint Venture, and the total investment funds amount to USD 3248.5 million.
The factory's capacity reaches 500 tons of fiber/day. The plant's investors are planning to build three fiber factories and strive to increase the quality of the daily supplies that have been polyester synthetic fibers.
