Luo Baihui said that in the mold market in China, the development of automotive molds is a top priority. As the automobile and motorcycle industry is one of the five pillar industries of China’s national economy, China’s automobile production and sales volume has exceeded 19.31 million in 2012. From the perspective of industrial economic development, China’s automobile and motorcycle industries have entered an “economic take-off†phase. This kind of production and sales will inevitably bring about a strong economic domestic demand, bringing a huge market for automobile and motorcycle molds. With the rapid growth of China’s auto and motorcycle exports, plastic molds instead of wood and metal will increase the demand for plastic molds in the automobile and motorcycle industries. In particular, the development of new materials and new molding technologies will make plastic products. Demand in the automotive and motorcycle industries is increasing. To a certain extent, the use of plastic products for automobiles and motorcycles can reflect the development level of a country's automobile and motorcycle industries. For example, the average use of plastic products in each car in Germany has reached nearly 300 kilograms, accounting for about 22% of the total car consumption materials. It is the world's largest producer of auto parts and components. The average use of plastics in Japan is about 100 kilograms per car, and they use plastic products such as instrument panels.
At present, the application of plastic products for automobiles and motorcycles has evolved from ordinary decorative parts to structural and functional parts. The use of plastic raw materials has also been expanded from ordinary plastics to composites or plastic alloys with higher impact resistance and better.
