Geely Automobile Completes Export Targets in Advance

According to relevant sources, on November 1, 2012, Geely Automobile announced its auto export data from January to October of this year. According to statistics, as of the end of October this year, Geely Automobile's cumulative exports in 2012 have exceeded 80,000 units, an increase of 190% over the same period of last year, and completed the full-year target two months ahead of schedule.

At the beginning of this year, Geely set itself a target of 60,000 overseas exports for the whole year. Under the dual role of the introduction of new models and the development of new overseas markets, Geely’s exports far exceeded the original plan. Therefore, in the middle of this year, Geely The annual export target will be raised to 80,000. Zhang Lin, Vice President of Geely Group and General Manager of Geely International Automotive Co., Ltd. stated that from 2009 to 2011, Geely Automobile exports reached 18,000, 21,000 and 38,000 vehicles, respectively, and exports exceeded 80,000 vehicles in the first 10 months of this year. It is expected to break through the 100,000 mark.

It is understood that in order to reduce costs and enhance product competitiveness, Geely Automobile vigorously promote the localization of products. At present, Geely has established KD factories in Egypt, Uruguay, Russia, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Iraq, and Sri Lanka using flexible business models such as joint ventures or cooperation.

Up to now, Geely Automobile has exported to more than 30 countries around the world, and its products have spread throughout South America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe, forming a relatively complete overseas marketing and service network.
