The senior management of the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on how to deal with the sluggish truck market situation and how to further create value for customers of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., and identified relevant cooperation issues in terms of technology research and development, quality, after-sales service, and manufacturing.
Huang Gang, general manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company, introduced the market situation of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and 2013 market forecast this year. In the first nine months of this year, heavy trucks in the industry fell by more than 25%, heavy trucks decreased by 30%, and the decline rate in the third quarter slowed down. However, they remained low and there was no sign of recovery. The macroeconomic situation in 2013 will improve, but due to the structural adjustments and the implementation of the Fourth National Emissions, it is estimated that it will drop by 10% next year, and the total volume of medium and heavy trucks will be around 800,000.
Boss Diesel Systems China President and General Manager Wang Weiliang of Bosch Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. agreed with Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company's judgment. He believes that due to the implementation of State IV emissions, the application of electronic control systems in the commercial vehicle sector will improve slightly in 2013, but the plans should be carried out with caution.
