According to authoritative sources, on March 25, Weichai-Boduuan (Singapore) company was formally established in Singapore. This is the first branch company established in Southeast Asia after Shandong Heavy Industry Group was established last year, marking an important step towards the establishment of a global brand internationalization goal.
Up to now, Weichai Group has established 25 sales offices and 70 special maintenance service centers in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America, and established two technology research and development centers in the United States and France. In 2009, Weichai successfully acquired the 100-year-old Baudouin Company in France and took an important step towards cross-border mergers and acquisitions and building an international brand, fully demonstrating the comprehensive competitive advantage of an industry leader.
Chairman of the Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Tan Xuguang, pointed out at the inauguration ceremony that after the establishment of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Weichai-Baudouin (Singapore), Weichai will make full use of the development platform of Singapore companies and quickly enter the ASEAN free trade zone. Develop and improve products that adapt to the characteristics of the region, introduce international talents, develop together with domestic and foreign partners, and in the next 5 to 10 years, gradually establish a global manufacturing and service system to achieve the goal of global brand internationalization. Build Shandong Heavy Industry Group into a world-class international equipment manufacturing group.
Tan Xuguang further pointed out that after the establishment of Weichai-Baudouan (Singapore) Co., Ltd., Weichai Power will establish a sales and service support center, a logistics and distribution warehouse center, a training center, and a remanufacturing center in Southeast Asia.
