Analyze the reasons that affect the reproducibility of orifice flowmeters

1. The sharpness of the entrance is right, and the diameter of the pipe is inconsistent with the calculation.

2, the product thickness error; throttle accessories produce steps, eccentric;

3, orifice plate upstream end flatness; ring chamber size, eccentricity;

4, the choice of pressure location; whether the welding seam is prominent;

5. Check if the pressure hole is normal and blocked.

The above problems may affect the repeatability of the orifice plate. The repeatability is determined by the principle of the instrument itself and the manufacturing quality. It is an important indicator in process control applications. Accuracy, in addition to being dependent on repeatability, is related to the calibration system. In practical applications, the excellent repeatability of the meter is disturbed by many factors, including fluid viscosity, density, etc., which can affect the measurement accuracy. This effect is even more pronounced if the output characteristics of the instrument are non-linear. Therefore, precautions must be taken when selecting and applying orifice flowmeters.
