State Grid Corporation held a meeting on the acceptance of key technology research projects for 1000 kV UHV engineering in Beijing. The "1000 kV AC system multi-split spacer rod and line fittings development research" jointly undertaken by the National Electric Power Construction Research Institute and China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. passed the acceptance test. The participating experts gave high praise to the research results obtained by the project, and believed that it has reached the international advanced level and provided strong technical support for the construction of 1000 kV UHV test demonstration project.
The fittings developed by the “1000 kV AC system multi-split spacers and line fittings development research projectâ€, including 57 spacers, suspension strings, tensile string, etc., the first one successfully passed. All mechanical and electrical performance tests specified by national and industrial standards. The project research and development personnel borrowed the experience of UHV and EHV transmission engineering at home and abroad, and systematically studied a variety of insulator string types and their voltage distribution laws for the first time. The aluminum alloy material eight-split wire damping spacer rod developed by the project has been successfully developed for the first time in the world. The combined shielding technology of the open type equalizing ring and the fitting is also the first in China.
At present, there is no mature experience in the research and development of UHV fittings at home and abroad. Therefore, the research and development task of UHV fittings is more arduous. The UHV Office of the State Grid Corporation has held technical coordination meetings several times to determine the relevant technical principles for project R&D and to guide the coordination of R&D work. After a large number of investigations and studies, the project team conducted a serious analysis and summary of the technical routes and technical difficulties, and formulated a targeted implementation plan. They overcome difficulties such as tight time, heavy tasks, and technical difficulties. They work overtime and work hard to achieve the desired goals in a short period of time.
