Sichuan's First Earthquake Field Work Team Established in Liangshan

On August 30th, the earthquake work team of Liangshan Prefecture Earthquake Disaster Reduction System, the first seismic field team in our province (Sichuan), was established. In the future, after the occurrence of destructive earthquake disasters, the team will serve as the earthquake site advance group of the Provincial Seismological Bureau and the Liangshan Prefecture Earthquake Site Working Group to quickly carry out seismic work on the earthquake-stricken area.

Liangshan Prefecture Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction System Earthquake Field Task Force is composed of an earthquake site command and an earthquake site team. The 16 members are related experts and technical backbones. The team's work on the earthquake site includes four major components: First, rapid assessment of personnel-intensive emplacement areas and personnel search and rescue key areas, providing a preliminary range of extremely severely affected areas and severely affected areas, estimating the rated intensity of extreme earthquake areas; second, disaster losses Sampling survey and participation in disaster loss assessment; third, participation in seismic site tracking and earthquake monitoring, and recommending structural measures for reconstruction of the disaster area; and fourth, completing information submission for earthquake site work and development of earthquake relief.
