Can the Hanma engine be used?
For a brand-new company that has no experience in manufacturing engines and does not have a ready-made technology source, the first question for people who make their own heavy-duty trucks is: Can the engine be used normally?
Valin is a heavy-duty truck chassis and top car company. For the first time the engine was built, Valin did not cooperate with foreign companies, nor did it find domestic engine companies to help. It could be said that it was a single fight.
The companies that produce similar heavy trucks in China are either relying on large-scale automobile groups to produce engines such as FAW or Dongfeng, or relying on foreign aid to jointly produce engines such as Futian, Jianghuai and Hongyan. Since this year, the author has been very concerned about the loading of the Hanma engine. It is understood that the current loading capacity of the Hanma engine is nearly 1,000 units, and sales of 2,000 units this year should not be a problem.
The sales area of ​​Hualing Heavy Trucks with Hanma engines is in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Liaoning in the northeast, Chongqing in the southwest, and Yinchuan in the northwest. Among them, Chongqing has already had repeat customers, while the usage conditions in the Yinchuan region are rather special and belong to the plateau region, and the Hualing Heavy Trucks used in Yinchuan operate 24 hours a day.
According to the author's further understanding, there are no design flaws in the nearly 1,000 heavy trucks that have been sold out with the Hanma engine, and there are no systematic failures, and there is no large-scale downtime due to problems.

Ningxia Hualing Xingma Logistics Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xingma Logistics) has 24 mixers equipped with "Hangma Power" engines. The reason why the author chose Xingmao Logistics as the research object was because Xingma Logistics provided third-party logistics services for local mixing stations and needed to complete all the concrete transportation tasks of the mixing station.
In the face of a large number of concrete transport tasks, the Hanmar engine can be fully tested. Generally speaking, the mixer has relatively high requirements on the performance of the engine. First, the mixer generally needs people to walk without stopping. The mixer starts to work 24 hours a day. The second is that the mixer has high requirements on the engine because the concrete is stirred from the vehicle. When the tank is poured out, it must be kept stirring. If there is a problem with the intermediate engine that causes the mixing tank to fail to stir, then a concrete vehicle will condense. Therefore, many mixers are willing to choose imported brands like Shanghai Hino or Cummins.
At the mixing station of the Ningxia Yankee Company, the author observed that there was a batch of Waring brand mixers ready for loading concrete in front of the mixing station. According to Yang Zhibo, Chairman of Xingma Logistics, “These are the mixers that the logistics companies just purchased. We have signed a third-party logistics agreement that is dedicated to the mixing station. This batch of vehicles has some loading capacity of 12 square meters. The loading of concrete is up to 15 square meters, which far exceeds the conventional loading capacity (the national regulation is 8 square meters)."
It is understood that there are a total of 25 vehicles in the mixer fleet of Xingma Logistics, and there is a captain. Each vehicle is responsible for two drivers. The captain said that since the vehicles were put into use, there have been no major problems. The vehicle is operating normally.
In chatting with some of the drivers waiting for loading, the author learned that the Hammar engine is more powerful than previous engines. A driver said that the vehicle with an engine brake not only saves fuel, but also saves energy.

This batch of 25 mixers all chose the new Huamao engine listed by Valin, but it is a risky move.
Because Xingma Logistics has signed a third-party agreement with the mixing station of Ningxia Yanqi Company, the logistics company must ensure that vehicles can meet the transportation needs of the mixing station in time, whether it is during the peak season or off-season. Therefore, if once the design defect of the engine occurs, this group of engines have system failures that cause the vehicle to be repaired or stopped, then the consequences are unimaginable.
In the face of such risks, Yang Zhibo said that he has not considered it. "But for many years of trust and understanding of Valin, I think Valin's engine should be able to trust."

Therefore, out of our trust in Valin, we feel that there is little risk, and I myself am engaged in the maintenance of automobiles and engines. There is also some understanding. Yang Zhibo said that for this batch of engines, Hualing also sent a technical team to track usage. After observing a period of time in the early stage, after confirming that the engine was able to operate normally, the technical team withdrew, but still left a maintenance staff on the team. . "It is not realistic to say that this engine is not a problem, but basically, various problems can be solved quickly and will not have any impact on the operation of the vehicle."

Can a Hanma Engine Make Money?
Han Ma engine can be used or used, then, Hualing build the engine task is not even done? The author believes that it is far from. Because, Hualing made the engine, definitely not to prove that the company has the ability to build an engine, but to gain greater competitive advantage.
The goal of business management is to maximize profits in accordance with the principles of Western economics. It is also true that this principle has been put in our socialist countries. This is because, if corporate profits are maximized, it proves that the company uses less resources to obtain more user preferences (that is, how much the user is willing to pay is based on the value of the product in its mind), which is of course the embodiment of advanced productivity. Therefore, the ultimate goal of Valin's business operations should also be to maximize profits.
There is a saying well: "Do not forget the original intention, have to always." The original intention of Hualing made the engine should be to obtain the maximum profits of the company's future, that is, Hualing made the engine should complete two tasks: one is to create the difference of the engine's competitive advantage, the sales office more Huahua The other is the higher profits created by the Hanma engines, or the higher profits created by these two factors in common. It is too early to draw conclusions now. The Hanma engine was just launched this year. If the sales task is completed, there will only be 2,000 units in the whole year. Obviously, the annual output of this engine cannot reach the economic scale. According to the author's understanding, the Hualing heavy truck with the optional Hanma engine is more expensive than the Weichai engine with the same displacement. If you choose to install the Hanmar engine brake cylinder, the price will be higher. And this price, or Valin has let the profits.
Therefore, at present, the biggest test faced by the Hanma engine is not the technical indicator, but its economic indicators, that is to say, can we make more heavy truck users willing to choose the Hanma engine, and whether the Hanma engine can be used for the Waring Bring more profits, Hualing investment in Hanma engine funds and manpower and other R & D costs can get a reasonable return.
All this has yet to be tested by time, and we need to continue to pay close attention to the market performance of the Hanma engines.
