Hydrogen Generator Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance

1. Low hydrogen pressure

The hydrogen pressure is low, and the hydrogen flow is large, and it is necessary to check if the hydrogen generator leaks. With a blind nut, the hydrogen outlet on the back of the instrument was closed, and the flow was observed to check whether the flow indicator was zeroing. After a few minutes, the flow value was not or zero, indicating that the instrument was leaking. Please check whether the desiccant adheres to the rubber surface in the upper lid of the desiccant canister and whether the 0 lap of the dryer base can be removed. Otherwise, the connected instrument leaks. Can not be resolved, please contact the manufacturer.

2. Small hydrogen flow

When the instrument is in use, the flow value is reduced and the hydrogen pressure is reduced. Replace the electrolyte. The original electrolytic solution was completely discharged, and after washing with deionized water, 100 g of potassium hydroxide was dissolved in 400 ml of deionized water and added to the electrolytic cell.

3. There is a large difference between the flow rate display and the actual usage

If during use it is found that there is a big difference between the flow display and the actual situation, use a blind nut to close the hydrogen outlet on the back of the instrument, and check whether the flow indicator is zeroed after turning on the instrument. After a few minutes, the flow rate does not drop to a small value, indicating that the instrument itself is leaking. Otherwise, the connected instrument leaks.

4. Pressure exceeds the set value

When the instrument is shipped, the pressure value is set to 0.3MPa. When starting the instrument, it is necessary to pay attention to the rise of pressure. If the pressure value obviously exceeds 0.3MPa, the pressure controller is in failure. When the pressure exceeds 0.4MPa, the instrument will automatically turn off the power.

Daily maintenance of hydrogen generator

1. Routine maintenance. In the normal use of the instrument, attention must be paid to adding deionized water (or purified water) in a timely manner. The amount of supplemental water should not exceed the upper limit of the liquid level. The frequency of adding deionized water should be related to the amount of hydrogen used and the ambient temperature.

2. Change of color-changing silicone (desiccant). When the top of the desiccant turns red, it needs to be replaced, the hydrogen in the instrument is discharged, the entire desiccant canister is unscrewed (counterclockwise), and then replaced. Ensure that the rubber surface in the upper lid of the desiccant canister is not adhered to the desiccant. After tightening, the desiccant canister is screwed onto the dryer base. The force is moderate and not too large.

3. It is advisable to replace the potassium hydroxide aqueous solution for six months.
