Schrodinger’s cat has become the most famous example of quantum mechanics. Schrodinger’s cat is a thought experiment created by Austrian physicist Owen Schroding in 1935. In the hypothetical experiment, the cat was housed in a sealed box with a radioactive sample, a Geiger counter and a bottle of poison. If the Geiger counter detects the decay of radioactive material, it will trigger the poison and the cat will be killed. If you put a cat in an opaque box and let the cat's survival depend on a random event, when does the cat die? When random events occur or when you open the box, common sense may choose the former, but Quantum mechanics shows that the cat died even before someone observed the result. But until the moment the box was opened, the cat was both dead and alive at the same time. This is the famous quantum theory.
Researchers can now track atoms or photons by tracking the path of quantum particles. What they see is that quantum particles follow the classical path of least resistance. Usually, the quantum particles are “moved†by the outside world, and the strangeness of losing the quantum collapses into a “classical stateâ€. But over the past 20 years, physicists have designed a device that separates quantum systems from the environment, allowing scientists to explore quantum so that it does not collapse immediately.
