This paper describes the working principle and application method of electromagnetic flowmeter in the wet desulfurization system for the wet desulfurization system. The wet desulfurization system is an extremely effective method for reducing the sulfur dioxide emissions from the exhaust gas of coal-fired boilers. The flue gas emitted from the boiler is blown into the wet reaction absorber. In the absorber, a mixture of water and limestone powder is sprayed onto the flue gas. Once the sealing layer is worn or the sealing layer around the electrode is eroded away, the process paddle fluid penetrates the inside of the flowmeter (coil and electrode connections).
In the same way, ordinary flowmeter protruding electrodes collide with limestone and gypsum in the process flow and generate flow noise (potential difference), and the signal processing technology cannot distinguish the noise from the true flow signal, so the output of such flowmeter is It is unreliable and cannot be used for control.
Improper installation can also cause electromagnetic flowmeter failure. In addition to having to properly install upstream and downstream of the process line in accordance with installation requirements, it is also important to control the flow rate of the slurry within a suitable range. If the flow rate is too low, below 1.5 m/s (5 ft/s), solids (limestone) will settle out of the suspension and cause rapid wear in the bottom horizontal direction inside the electromagnetic flowmeter. If the flow rate is too high, limestone in the slurry accelerates the wear of the lining above 2 m/s (7 ft/s).
Any of the above situations will lead to a rapid reduction of the service life of electromagnetic flowmeters.
