Natural rubber is mainly derived from the Clover rubber tree, when the rubber tree's skin is cut open, it will flow out milky juice, called latex, latex by condensation, washing, forming, drying that natural rubber. Synthetic rubber is made by synthetic methods, using different raw materials (monomers) can be synthesized different types of rubber. 1900-1910 Chemistry C.D. Harris determined that the structure of natural rubber is a polymer of isoprene, which opened the way for synthetic rubber. In 1910, Russian chemist SV Lebedev polymerized 1,3-butadiene into sodium butyrate with metallic sodium as initiator, and many new synthetic rubber varieties emerged successively afterwards, such as butadiene rubber, neoprene, styrene butadiene rubber and many more. Synthetic rubber production has greatly exceeded natural rubber, which is the largest production of styrene butadiene rubber.
