According to the latest data from the CLUCC, in January 2018, the sales volume of narrow-minded passenger cars in China reached 2,247,837 units, which was 8.2% higher than 2,077,422 units in the same period of 2017. Under this background environment, cars, SUVs and MPV rings also showed different degrees of decline compared with December 2017. The three major markets fell by 20.6%, 13.4% and 28.8% in turn. Therefore, compared with the first month of 2017, the sales of cars and SUVs have also increased. Among them, retail sales of passenger cars were 1,049,244, up 6.1% year-on-year; retail sales of SUVs reached 1,031,245, up 16.5% year-on-year; however, the year of downturn in the whole year of MPV 2017 did not escape the year-on-year, year-on-year decline.

In January's top 10 sales, the biggest bright spot was Toyota's Toyota Corolla, which had been for many years.
